
Cardio Tribal Belly Dance
Cardio-Tribal Belly Dance combines energizing
ethnic dance moves, classic belly dance isolations, low impact snaky arms and
shaky hips with structured repetitive movements in a workout format. Cardio Tribal Style (CTS) builds on the synchronized improvisation that is
typical of American Tribal Style (ATS) belly dance, but with fun ethnic dance
combinations fusing belly dance with indian, african, latin, polynesian and
modern moves and music. You'll have fun, learn belly dance combinations, and
get a good workout. Come ready to sweat!
Robin also teaches Zumba Gold - a low-impact version of Zumba that uses belly and ethnic dance moves to world music.
Robin moved to the Palm Springs area of southern California and is a founding member of the Desert Belly Dance Collective in Palm Desert. She is leading sessions with the Cardio Tribal Team (CTT).

CTBD Workout: We build on the synchronized improvisation typical of ATS by fusing tribal belly dance moves with Indian, African, Latin, Polynesian, and modern moves and music.
CTS 50+: A low-impact tribal belly dance workout for women over 50.
CTS Choreos: Tribal style belly dance routines that you can use at home, in the club, or on stage. No public performance required - but you can shine your star on the stage of your choosing.
Tribal Combos: Tribal style belly dance combinations that become the building blocks for creating dance routines. This class blends CTS, ATS, and ITS styles.
CTS Combos & Props: Enhance your dance with props used in belly dance world wide - finger cymbals (zils), balancing objects, veils, skirts, and fans. (We practice balancing with baskets). Please bring your props with you to the session.
Zumba Gold: A version of Zumba in a low-impact format designed specifically for folks who love the music and moves of Zumba, but prefer a groovier, less intense workout.
The Desert Belly Dance Collective has associate members who may attend any and all activities within a month for monthly dues of $60.
In addition to Robin's classes, and those of the certified Cardio-Tribal Team, the Collective has Feel Good Now, Egyptian Belly Dance technique, Egyptian Belly Dance Props & Style, and the Goddess Grace Circle - all taught by Charise Cynar; Greek Folk Dancing taught by Tina, and regular workshops taught by various members of the DBDC. Belly Ballet will be offered March 31st at 11:30 by Tina and Yoga-inspired toning for Belly dancers on April 29th by Jacqueline.
