Cardio Tribal Belly Dance 

Cardio-Tribal Belly Dance combines energizing ethnic dance moves, classic belly dance isolations, low impact snaky arms and shaky hips with structured repetitive movements in a workout format. Cardio Tribal Style (CTS) builds on the synchronized improvisation that is typical of American Tribal Style (ATS) belly dance, but with fun ethnic dance combinations fusing belly dance with indian, african, latin, polynesian and modern moves and music. You'll have fun, learn belly dance combinations, and get a good workout.  Come ready to sweat!

Robin also teaches Zumba Gold - a low-impact version of Zumba that uses belly and ethnic dance moves to world music.

Robin moved to the Palm Springs area of southern California and is a founding member of the Desert Belly Dance Collective, a non-profit organization in Palm Desert.  She is leading sessions with the Cardio Tribal Team (CTT).  Our mission is support the creative collaboration of members with all funds over expenses going to benefit Refuge from the Storm - a women's shelter in the Coachella Valley.  All activities at the collective are for members.  If you are interested in visiting, please go to www.desertbellydancecollective.org for more information.

CTS 50+: A low-impact tribal belly dance workout for women over 50. 

CTS Combos & Props: Enhance your dance with props used in belly dance world wide - finger cymbals (zils), balancing objects, veils, skirts, and fans.  (We practice balancing with baskets).  Please bring your props with you to the session.

Zumba Gold: A version of Zumba in a low-impact format designed specifically for folks who love the music and moves of Zumba, but prefer a groovier, less intense workout.


In addition to Robin's sessions, the Desert Belly Dance Collective has sessions on Egyptian Belly Dance technique, Egyptian Belly Dance Props & Style, and the Goddess Grace Circle - all taught by Charise Cynar; Greek Folk Dancing and Belly Dance Basics led by Tina.
